  I am writing this review with so much appreciation and admiration for the Damascus Bank. I went to the Branch Friday Morning in Mt. Airy (which was closed) so I went to the branch in Damascus at 8:00 AM only to find that they were closed as well and didn't open until 9:00. I had to be in Gaithersburg by 9:00 for work and needed to deposit a check for my sister-in-law. She was in Boston visiting family and forgot to deposit the check before she boarded the plane. If I didn't deposit her check she would have no money while in Boston so of course I am running around frantic. A employee of the Bank by the name of "Melissa" caught me as I was leaving and offered to assist. I explained my situation and Melissa took the liberty to talk to the Branch Manager and deposited the check for me and made it available within 20 minutes. Although this seems like such a small task and not a big deal I assure you it was. I was so grateful as was my sister-in-law for Melissa's help.
